Summary
This dossier sets transitional provisions on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The amendments allow Member States, by derogation from Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005, to enter new legal commitments to beneficiaries in 2014 and keep related expenditure EAFRD-eligible in 2014-2020, permit certain listed Member States to shift a share of rural-development funds to direct payments, and address legal certainty in the transition.
