Amendments to Biocidal Products Regulation as regards the extension of certain data protection periods (Omnibus X)
These amendments concern proposed changes to the Biocidal Products Regulation extending certain data protection periods under the Omnibus X initiative. One amendment has the European Parliament reject the Commission proposal. Others provide that the extension is exceptional, applies only to the circumstances described, and does not set a precedent for further extensions of data protection periods under the review programme. The text ties the extension to the review programme running until 2030 and to biocidal active substances that have been under review since 7 June 2018, while underlining the need for Member States to finalise the review programmes.

Plenary votes
1 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
