Summary

A proposal amending a Regulation as regards obligations of economic operators concerning battery due-diligence policies. The amendments include outright rejection of the Commission proposal, postpone the application of due-diligence obligations and align them with the corporate sustainability due-diligence directive, address removability and replaceability requirements and possible derogations, raw-material sourcing and supply-chain pressures, third-party verification by notified bodies, and the deletion of certain articles of the cited Regulation.
