Persistent organic pollutants
This codecision file amends the annexes to the EU regulation on persistent organic pollutants and to the waste Directive. Amendments set concentration limits for substances listed under the Stockholm Convention, including pentachlorophenol, dicofol, PFOA, PFHxS, PFBS, short-chain chlorinated paraffins, brominated diphenyl ethers, hexabromocyclododecane and dioxins, classify POP-containing waste above those limits as hazardous, and add delegated-act and traceability requirements, invoking the precautionary principle.

Plenary votes
2 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
