Implementation into Union law of measures adopted by regional fisheries management organisations

This dossier concerns implementation into Union law of measures adopted by regional fisheries management organisations (RFMOs). The amendments transpose conservation and control measures from bodies including ICCAT, SPRFMO, NAFO, IATTC, WCPFC and IOTC, address bottom fishing, transhipment, observer arrangements and treatment, food sovereignty in the Mediterranean, a level playing field versus third-country fleets, Member State prerogatives, and engagement with the Parliament and the Council.
