Summary

A decision on mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund to assist Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France for six natural disasters in 2023. The amendments cite Slovenia's August 2023 floods with EUR 7.3 billion in direct damages, and call for faster application procedures, expanding the Fund and the Solidarity and Emergency Aid Reserve, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and preventive measures.
