Summary
An own-initiative report on a European strategy for plastics in a circular economy. Amendments call for minimum recycled content in new plastic products, explore molecular recycling and upcycling, propose modulated or reduced VAT and taxes on virgin plastic, note deposit-refund systems, and promote green and circular public procurement and ecodesign criteria for dismantling, repair and durability.
