Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): VAUTMANS Hilde (ALDE)
Summary
The dossier is an own-initiative report on private security companies. The amendments, referencing the Montreux Document, the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Providers and ISO standards, address private military and security companies, the state's monopoly on the legitimate use of force, outsourcing of security and defence by national militaries and civilian agencies, their use in CSDP missions and at borders, and the scale of the private security industry.
