Summary
Legislative proposal on the list of third countries whose nationals are subject to or exempt from a visa requirement. Amendments address a mechanism for temporary suspension of the visa waiver in emergency situations, benchmark thresholds on irregular stays, asylum applications and rejected readmission applications, the role of the Commission, Parliament and Council, a reciprocity mechanism, and visa rules for refugees and stateless persons in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
