External and internal borders: rules on movement of persons across borders (Schengen Borders Code)
Legislative proposal on rules for the movement of persons across external and internal borders (Schengen Borders Code). Amendments revise provisions on integrated management of external borders within an area of freedom, security and justice, solidarity and fair sharing in protecting external borders, a definition of "threat to internal security" covering serious cross-border crime, derogations for crossing outside border crossing points in emergencies, written information to third-country nationals, and stamping of travel documents of family members of Union citizens; several entries are deletions.
