Common fisheries policy (CFP): Community financial measures for the implementation of the CFP and in the area of the Law of the Sea

A legislative proposal on Community financial measures for implementing the Common Fisheries Policy and in the area of the Law of the Sea. The amendments add safeguarding coastal fishing activities alongside industrial fishing, direct financial measures towards improving data collection, management and scientific advice on the state of resources, cover expenditure on biological, technical, environmental and socio-economic data including at-sea monitoring, and set a deadline for Member States' applications.
