Summary
This dossier concerns national restructuring programmes for the cotton sector under the common agricultural policy. Amendments note that an earlier reform led to a fall in cotton production in Spain that jeopardised the sector and prompted restructuring of the ginning industry, and add a measure to reduce the cost of production to Article 7(1).
