Dangerous substances and preparations: restrictions on the marketing and use of 2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethanol, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol, methylenediphenyl diisocyanate, cyclohexane and ammonium nitrate

A legislative proposal restricting the marketing and use of dangerous substances including DEGME, DEGBE, MDI, cyclohexane and ammonium nitrate. The amendments set concentration limits and timetables for supply to the general public in paints, paint strippers, cleaners and neoprene-based adhesives, require warnings, gloves and labelling, address inhalation and dermal exposure, data collection on respiratory allergy from MDI, and limit the nitrogen content of ammonium nitrate fertilisers misused for explosives.
