Summary

This own-initiative report concerns EU-Japan relations. The amendments revise recitals citing dialogues and agreements such as the Japan-EU Digital Partnership and cooperation on semiconductors and submarine cables, and address Japan as the EU's strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific, shared values and the rules-based order, maritime security and UNCLOS, Japan's new national security and defence strategies, the NATO-Japan partnership, and concerns regarding North Korea, China and Taiwan.
