Summary

Own-initiative report on negotiations on a status agreement for operational activities of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) in Senegal. Amendments divide over supporting or opposing Frontex deployment in Senegal, conditioning any status agreement on fundamental rights, non-refoulement and data protection, independent human-rights assessments, immunity and accountability of Frontex staff, returnee and asylum centres, and training and reporting.
