Implementation of the Treaty provisions on special legislative procedures
This own-initiative report concerns implementation of the Treaty provisions on special legislative procedures. The amendments discuss how these procedures reduce Parliament's role compared with the ordinary legislative procedure, the Council voting by qualified majority or unanimity, Parliament's rights of initiative regarding its own composition, the election and Statute of its Members, the Statute of the Ombudsman and its right of inquiry, the reform of the European electoral law, and the principle of mutual sincere cooperation between the institutions.

Plenary votes
2 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
