Summary

An implementation report on Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims made on foods. The amendments cite the Digital Services Act, EFSA opinions on dietary sugars, WHO nutrition-labelling guidance and front-of-pack labelling schemes, the Farm to Fork Strategy and nutrient profiles, link unhealthy diets high in salt, sugar and fat to non-communicable diseases, obesity and deaths, address marketing to children, ultra-processed foods, plant-based diets and consumer protection.
