Summary

The dossier concerns the implementation of the Council Regulation establishing measures for the recovery of the stock of European eel. The amendments revise paragraphs on national Eel Management Plans and Member States' reporting, the stock-recovery and mortality-reduction objectives, the critically endangered status and ICES advice, fisheries and non-fisheries impacts such as migration barriers and hydropower, and creating an eel-specific advisory group of stakeholders.
