Conservation and control measures applicable in the Regulatory Area of the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)

Legislative proposal on conservation and control measures in the Regulatory Area of the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO). Amendments transpose NAFO Conservation and Enforcement Measures, prohibit shark finning and removal of fins from living sharks and elasmobranch species, require live release of sharks, address vulnerable marine ecosystems, catch and effort limits, the 3M redfish TAC, Northern prawn and Greenland halibut, mesh sizes, inspections, and the EFCA.
