Summary

This dossier concerns the consultation on the European Ombudsman's Implementing Provisions. Amendments revise the provisions on the Ombudsman, including notifying Parliament of any need to revise the text, priority handling of complaints in areas such as whistleblowing and harassment, seeking solutions with the institution concerned, closing inquiries and findings of maladministration, special reports to Parliament, own-initiative inquiries, confidentiality of complainants, and the Network of Ombudsmen.
