This dossier sets standards for equality bodies in the field of equal treatment and equal opportunities between women and men in matters of employment and occupation. The amendments address the independence, competences, powers, resources and mandate of equality bodies, the prohibition of discrimination on grounds including gender and sex, intersectional and multiple discrimination, treatment of SMEs and self-employed workers, and the relation to pay-transparency provisions.
