Summary
Legislative proposal adapting non-contractual civil liability rules to artificial intelligence (AI Liability Directive). Amendments include a call to reject the Commission proposal, and otherwise address disclosure of evidence on AI systems including high-risk and general-purpose AI with systemic risk, the burden of proof for fault-based damage claims before national courts, strict liability regimes for certain AI systems, delegated acts, and the rights of data subjects under the GDPR.
