Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): SÉJOURNÉ Stéphane (Renew)
Summary

The dossier concerns intellectual property rights for the development of artificial intelligence technologies. Amendments stress AI's potential for businesses and the public sector, support for start-ups and SMEs via the Single Market Programme and Digital Innovation Hubs, access to quality data, and the open-source model; they protect IPRs and trade secrets in any AI framework and address data traceability, transparency, explainability, ethical standards and disclosure of code.

Plenary votes

4 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
