Summary

This dossier concerns the EU-Malaysia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA). The amendments welcome the PCA as a legal framework, cite international human-rights instruments, and address Malaysia's death penalty, Sedition Act and Communications and Multimedia Act, freedom of expression, refugees and Rohingya, migrant workers and forced labour, women and gender gaps, Sharia laws, LGBTI persons, environmental degradation, ILO conventions, the Indo-Pacific strategy, ASEAN and alignment with EU sanctions on Russia.
