Summary

This own-initiative report is the annual report on implementation of the common foreign and security policy for 2021. The amendments call for partnership with NATO, a Strategic Compass and EU strategic autonomy, extending qualified majority voting under Article 31 TEU, parliamentary oversight, and stronger efforts against foreign disinformation and hybrid threats. They reference the High Representative, the Conference on the Future of Europe, and Turkey.
