Amending certain Regulations as regards the establishment and functioning of the European single access point (ESAP)
The dossier amends certain Regulations to establish and operate the European single access point (ESAP). Amendments address centralised public access to entities' financial-services, capital-markets and sustainability information, designation of collection bodies, data-extractable and machine-readable formats, metadata, entities' responsibility for accuracy and qualified electronic signatures, protection of confidential information and trade secrets, the role of ESMA and national competent authorities, and start dates for submission, with several provisions deleted.
