Summary

This own-initiative report is a recommendation on an agreement under negotiation between the EU and New Zealand on the exchange of personal data between Europol and the New Zealand authorities competent for fighting serious crime and terrorism. Amendments revise recitals on the Charter, data protection, purpose limitation and independent supervision, the Council negotiating mandate, the Christchurch attack and Call to Action, the EDPS, and Europol's reporting on terrorism threats.
