Summary
This report concerns opening negotiations on an EU-Egypt agreement on the exchange of personal data between Europol and the Egyptian competent authorities for fighting serious crime and terrorism. Amendments demand consistency with the Charter of Fundamental Rights, purpose limitation, data-retention limits, an independent supervisory authority, suspension or termination clauses, and an impact assessment.
