EU/China Agreement: cooperation on and protection of geographical indications
This dossier concerns an EU-China agreement on cooperation on and protection of geographical indications. The amendments welcome or take note of the agreement protecting lists of European and Chinese geographical indications, cite figures on EU agri-food exports, geographical-indication sales and counterfeiting, stress rules- and value-based trade with China, customs cooperation, extension of the agreement, distinctions between PDOs and PGIs, and geographical indications as cultural heritage.
