Summary
A regulation implementing safeguard clauses and other mechanisms for the temporary withdrawal of preferences in certain EU agreements with third countries. Amendments define bilateral safeguard clauses, 'serious injury' to Union industry, workers, consumers or the environment, give particular attention to the outermost regions and sensitive products, reference international labour and environmental standards and the Paris Climate Agreement, the banana stabilisation mechanism, and import monitoring.
