Summary
The dossier concerns transparency and sustainability of EU risk assessment in the food chain. Amendments revise risk communication and the risk analysis process, consultation of stakeholders and the public on studies supporting authorisation applications, Commission controls and audits of testing facilities, the Authority's commissioning of scientific studies, and the precautionary principle; several add provisions on honey origin labelling, blends, adulterated honey, fraudulent practices and consumer confidence.
