Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): PAŞCU Ioan Mircea (S&D)
Summary
An own-initiative report on EU-NATO relations. The amendments rewrite recitals on Western values and unity under geopolitical turbulence, EU-NATO cooperation as a means to shared goals through complementarity of missions and resources, the distinction between NATO as a military alliance and the EU as a security provider, and the 2% of GDP commitment, with some instead casting NATO as outdated or as increasing subordination to the United States.
