Summary
This own-initiative report concerns EU political relations with Latin America. The amendments describe the Latin American and Caribbean region as a key partner facing shared global challenges such as poverty eradication, climate change, security and migration, recall historical, cultural and trade ties, and note the region's inequalities, the end of the commodities super-cycle, and gender inequality. Several reference resolutions on Venezuela and Mexico, EuroLat, and the ILO Convention 169.
