Summary
The dossier concerns empowering Member States' competition authorities to be more effective enforcers and to ensure the proper functioning of the internal market. The amendments revise provisions on the independence, resources and powers of national competition authorities applying Articles 101 and 102 TFEU, including investigative powers over digital information, leniency for secret cartels, confidentiality of lawyer-client communications, prioritisation of proceedings, remedies, interim measures and binding commitment decisions.
