Summary
This dossier revises the EU framework for audiovisual media services in light of changing market realities. Amendments rework recitals on protecting minors and vulnerable viewers, requiring content information and accessibility for persons with disabilities, and on aligning the notion of 'incitement to hatred'; they address codes of conduct limiting children's exposure to commercial communications for foods, alcoholic beverages and gambling, editorial independence in sponsorship, and the rules on product placement.
