Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns cohesion policy in mountainous regions of the EU. The amendments call for a working definition of mountainous regions and note its absence in EU regional policy, addressing depopulation, ageing, poor accessibility and unemployment. They cover mountain agriculture, forestry, tourism, the EARDF and European Structural and Investment funds, Natura 2000 and ecosystems, glaciers and climate change, gender equality, and outermost and volcanic regions.
