Summary
This report concerns the strategic military situation in the Black Sea basin following the annexation of Crimea by Russia. The amendments reference the UN Charter, the Budapest Memorandum, the Helsinki Final Act and the Minsk agreements; debate the EU Neighbourhood Policy, the shifted military balance, control of the Crimean coastline and NATO; and use opposing wordings such as 'reunification' versus 'illegal annexation'.
