Summary
This own-initiative report aims to optimise the potential of the outermost regions by creating synergies between the EU structural funds and other EU programmes. The amendments invoke Article 349 TFEU and the special status of the outermost regions, their access to EU funds and programmes, areas of research excellence such as biodiversity, climate change, renewable energy and maritime governance, job creation and economic diversification, and tax and customs instruments.
