Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the future of EU-ASEAN relations. Amendments cite the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration, and revise recitals on the ASEAN Economic Community's internal market, denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, territorial disputes in the South China Sea, China's growing economic ties, EU free-trade agreement negotiations with Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, and the situation of the Rohingya in Myanmar.
