Summary
This own-initiative report addresses promoting development through responsible business practices, including extractive industries in developing countries. The amendments reference the EITI transparency standard and the G20 declaration, and address natural resources' share of GDP, Africa's mineral reserves and small-scale mining, governance and transparency, environmental and social impact assessments, human rights abuses including child and forced labour, and corporate social responsibility.
