Summary
A proposal establishing the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking as a public-private partnership under Horizon 2020. Amendments address combining public and private funding for research and innovation in bio-based industries and value chains, the role of the industry consortium and SMEs, calls for proposals and grants, synergies with the Structural Funds and regional and rural development, oversight by the Court of Auditors, and non-GMO bio-based materials, chemicals and fuels.
