Summary
The dossier is a proposed Regulation on multiannual funding for 2014-2020 of the European Maritime Safety Agency's response to pollution caused by ships and to marine pollution caused by oil and gas installations. The amendments set the financial envelope for the Agency's pollution-response tasks, address satellite imagery surveillance, operational assistance such as stand-by anti-pollution vessels, recovering costs from third parties responsible for pollution, and a Commission implementation report.
