Summary
This dossier concerns a proposed framework for space surveillance and tracking (SST) support. The amendments address countering the threat of space debris and protecting spacecraft, the relationship to UN debris-mitigation guidelines and an international Code of Conduct, civil versus military user requirements, partnership between the Union, Member States and the European Space Agency, complementarity with Horizon 2020, EGNOS and Galileo, data security, Union financing, and definitions of space objects.
