Summary
The dossier concerns harmonisation of Member States' laws on making radio equipment available on the market. The amendments address the use of radio spectrum and avoiding harmful interference, receiver capabilities and electromagnetic compatibility, interoperability with accessories including a universal charger for mobile phones, the EU declaration of conformity and CE marking, manufacturers' contact information, exemptions such as receive-only and radio-amateur equipment, and consumer protection and complaints.
