Summary
This dossier concerns alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in civil, commercial and family matters. The amendments call on the Commission to bring forward a legislative proposal on ADR, including for consumer and online matters, stress swift, effective and cheap out-of-court settlement, address geographical and sectoral coverage gaps, the relation to collective claims and Small Claims procedures, the internal market, and guidelines for ADR systems such as independence, impartiality, confidentiality and competence.
