Summary
An own-initiative report on better legislation, subsidiarity and proportionality and smart regulation. The amendments invoke TFEU Article 153(2) on avoiding burdensome laws, call for dialogue with civil society through public consultations, an SME test on legislative reports, a one-in, one-out rule, correlation tables, and improved transposition, application and enforcement of EU legislation by the Commission and Member States.
