Summary
This dossier concerns the Protocol to the EU/Mozambique Fisheries Partnership Agreement on fishing opportunities and financial contribution. The amendments promote sustainable fishing practices, limit access to surplus resources in line with maximum sustainable yield and local food security, reinforce local government accountability and artisanal fisheries, require publicly available annual reports, encourage calls by EU vessels at Mozambican ports, and revise surface long-line provisions to avoid mortality of non-target species.
