Summary
Proposed regulation establishing the Internal Security Fund instrument for financial support for external borders and visa for 2014-2020. Amendments stress solidarity and burden-sharing among Member States, the Schengen acquis and its evaluation and monitoring mechanism, common visa policy, respect for fundamental rights and the Charter, the Geneva Convention and non-refoulement, support for large-scale IT systems and the Frontex Agency, emergency assistance, and indicative resource allocations.
