Summary
An own-initiative report following up the European Parliament TDIP Committee report on alleged transportation and illegal detention of prisoners in European countries by the CIA. The amendments restate EU foundations in human rights and the rule of law, condemn extraordinary rendition, secret prisons and torture, reference Guantanamo and US detention measures, and call on Member States, NATO and the United States to conduct investigations and ensure accountability.
