The amendments address obligations of manufacturers and importers, essential health and safety requirements, conformity assessment and the EU declaration of conformity, indication of name and contact details on products, the independence of conformity assessment and notified bodies, national accreditation, market surveillance, and transposition deadlines for Member States.
